About Course
Old Testament Studies
Old Testament Studies provides a detailed introduction to the history, teachings, people, covenants, laws, poetry, wisdom literature and prophetic messages found in the first section of the Bible. The course examines the books from Genesis to Malachi, their historical and cultural backgrounds, and their significance to Christian faith and ministry.
Students will explore creation, the patriarchs, Israel’s journey, the monarchy, exile, restoration and the messages of the prophets. The course also highlights major themes such as covenant, obedience, worship, justice, holiness, faith and God’s plan of redemption.
By the end of the course, students should be able to understand the structure and message of the Old Testament, interpret its teachings responsibly and apply its principles to Christian living, preaching, leadership and ministry.
